Since 2003, significant investments have been made in Alanya by the municipality of Alanya for people with disabilities. The municipality of Alanya is also a member of the European Association of People with Disabilities `` ENAT ''. 

Many historic sites in the area have been adapted for wheelchair access. 80 to 90% of the city's sidewalks have been made accessible to wheelchairs. In some parts of the city, there are free charging stations on the streets for electric wheelchair users to charge their electric wheelchairs.

In addition, the traffic lights in the city give an audible warning for the visually impaired. Electronic translation devices provide detailed information about the region, both in writing and audibly in historic places, and meet all the needs of the visually and hearing impaired. In addition, with the models '' Tophane '', '' Kizilkule '', '' Mancinik '', the visually impaired have the possibility to experience historical structures by feeling.

The `` Ethnographic Museum '', the `` Inner Castle Museum '' and the `` Ataturk House Museum '', which wheelchair users and other disabled people can easily visit, highlight the history and culture of the city.

Turkey's first barrier-free beach was opened in Alanya. The beach where everything is considered for wheelchairs is the `` Cleopatra Public Beach ''. On this beach there are special areas where only the wheelchair user can shower and change clothes. In addition, there are sun loungers for wheelchair users, a beach wheelchair with special wheels, a walking path for wheelchairs and a special lift for the disabled for easy access to the sea.
