DAY 1 - ANTALYA - KAYSERİ - CAPPADOCIA

Transfer from your hotel to Antalya airport for your flight to Kayseri.

Pick-up from Kayseri airport and shuttle transfer to Cappadocia.

You will have a flight from Antalya to Kayseri.

(If there is no direct flight between Antalya and Kayseri on the requested date, we will arrange connected flights through Istanbul.)

DAY 2 - DEVRENT VALLEY - MONK VALLEY - AVANOS - GOREME - CHÂTEAU D'UCHISAR / NORD - RED TOUR

First, we will visit the Devrent Valley to see the animals in the shape of fairy chimneys.

After that we will head to Pasabag (Monk Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom shaped pinnacles.

Avanos is our next stop where you can watch the potters at work using walking wheels.

In the afternoon we will continue to the beautiful Göreme Open Air Museum where the remains of rock hewn churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years.

We end our tour by visiting the natural castle of Uchisar.

DAY 3 - REGULAR FULL DAY RED VALLEY - ROSE VALLEY - CAVUSIN VILLAGE - PIGEONS VALLEY - KAYMAKLI UNDERGROUND CITY - ORTAHISAR CHATEAU / SUD - GREEN TOUR 

Pick up from your hotel. We will start to visit the Red Valley (Kizil Vadi) and explore the famous rock hewn churches as we walk 5km through the Valley of Roses (Gulludere Vadisi) to the village of Cavusin. This village is famous for the houses and churches of Christian clergymen.

After lunch, we will continue to the Valley of the Pigeons, then we will head to the underground city of Kaymakli, where the early Christians lived in fear and faith. On the way back, visit the natural castles of Ortahisar.

DAY 4 -  DERINKUYU UNDERGROUND CITY - SELIME VILLAGE - VISIT OF THE IHLARA VALLEY - CARAVANSERAI AĞZIKARA HAN

Pick up from your hotel. First, we will visit the Esentepe panoramic viewpoint over Göreme where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the valley and the village of Göreme.

After that, we will head to the underground city of Derinkuyu to visit the huge refugee camp carved by the early Christians where they were able to hide from the persecutors. It contains all the usual rooms of an underground city (stables, cellars, storage rooms, refectories, churches, cellars etc.).

Then we continue to the beautiful Ihlara Valley, formerly known as Peristerema. We will walk approximately 4 km along the Melendiz River to explore the famous rock hewn churches. At the end of your walk, lunch will be served at Belisirma village by the river.

On the way back, we stop to see the monasteries of Selime village and the 13 century caravansarai built by Selcuk Turk on the Silk Road the AĞZIKARA HAN.

DAY 5 - GÜRAY CERAMIC MUSEUM - GÜLŞEHİR OPEN PALACE RUINS - SARATLI KIRKGÖZ UNDERGROUND CITY

GÜRAY CERAMIC MUSEUM

Touted as the only underground ceramics museum in the world, this vast series of modern tunnelled-out caves, underneath the Güray Ceramic showroom, displays a private collection of ceramic art featuring pieces from as far back as the Chalcolithic era.

GÜLŞEHİR OPEN PALACE RUINS

Açıksaray Ruins, 3 km away from Gülşehir, Roman Period rock tombs carved into tuff rocks, IX. and an important episcopal center with rock churches dating back to the 10th century. The "mushroom" formations, the symbol of Gülşehir, are also located in this region. Along with the multi-storey underground cities and caves from the ancient times, the Boğalı Church, Monastery, Backgammon (Horse Dam), Small Palace (Multi-Storey Settlement Area), Four-Column Monastery, Cradle Vaulted Building, Twelve-Column Church and Staircase House are among the must-see places. … Açıksaray Ruins is mostly preferred for trekking today. It is also a cultural and sports center with its 7 km long track, which also includes the Çat Valley.

SARATLI KIRKGÖZ UNDERGROUND CITY

25km from Aksaray. The town is located in the south of the residential area. The underground city, which started cleaning excavations in 2000 and was uncovered in a closed state in 2002, has three floors. Inside, there are vital places such as barn, kitchen, water wells, tandoor, stove, warehouse roofs, and the connections between these spaces are provided by corridors. The underground city is dated to the Byzantine period with its plan features and construction technique.

Turkish night with dinner in Cappadocia 

The Turkish Night Show highlights the dance traditions of various regions of Turkey, complete with traditional costumes and of course, exhilarating belly dancers. This lively performance is a great way to enjoy traditional Turkish music, dancing and join in the festivities during audience participation including drinks, fruits and dinner.

Whirling Dervishes show in Cappadocia   

The Whirling Dervish ceremonies start at 6:00 p.m. in winter and 9:00 p.m. in summer every evening. The whole ceremony lasts about an hour and we offer “Serbet”, a religious drink, after the ceremony. We pick you up from your hotel in Goreme or other towns in Cappadocia half an hour earlier, which will give you plenty of time to see the parts of the caravanserai before the ceremony.

DAY 7 - CAPPADOCIA - KAYSERİ -  ANTALYA

İNFORMATİON ON THE SİTE

Devrent Valley is one of the few untouched area of Cappadocia. This valley is only shaped by erosion. Another name of the valley is Imaginary Valley or Pink Valley. Because this valley has the animals shaped chimney, you can see hares, camels, snakes, seals, dolphins, gazelles... may be others.
Pasabag (Monk's Valley) has the most beautiful fairy-chimneys in Cappadocia, which are more than 10 meters high and have double or triple rock caps.
Avanos is located on the banks of Kizilirmak River. This town is famous for potteries who use Kizilirmak's red clay. During your visit, you can make your own potter after a short lesson :)
Goreme is located among the "fairy chimney" rock formations. There are the most beautiful rock cut churches (belong to the 11th - 12th - 13th centuries - with frescoes) in Goreme Valley which itself has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1984.
Uchisar Castle is the highest point of the Cappadocia Region. That is a perfect opportunity to observe a panoramic view of the landscape.
Red Valley is located between Goreme and Cavusin Village and it is a popular hiking route in Cappadocia. You can see some cave churches and pigeon houses there.
Kaymakli Underground City has ten levels, several chapels, warehouses, stables, and also a ventilation duct. This city was began to excavate by Hittites.
Ortahisar Castle is located in the middle of the Cappadocia area which was used as a fortress in Byzantine times.
Derinkuyu Underground City has 11 floors to a depth of approximately 85 m. Thousands of people were living in this city centuries before. Derinkuyu, the deepest underground city, was connected with other underground cities through tunnels.
Ihlara Valley is a 16 km long gorge and one of the most famous route in Turkey for hiking. There are the rock cut underground houses and churches in the valley. Norrow gorge helped the first Christians to hide from Roman Soldiers.
