Many tourists would like to have a check-up while on vacation in Turkey as the prices for the check-up are very reasonable depending on the quality of service received compared to European countries and the Middle East.
1 . What is the medical check-up?
The checkup can help identify health problems early on or even before they start. Early diagnosis can increase the chances of better treatment and a longer, healthier life.
Standard control should be covered by blood count, evaluation of organ functions, blood functions (cancer, kidney, etc.), sedimentation, cholesterol and lipid levels, thyroid test (goiter), hepatitis test (jaundice), complete urine analysis, any abdominal ultrasound, chest x-ray, electrocardiography.
We also strongly recommend taking the test above 40 years of age who did not even inherit risk; eye exams, cardiac exams and additional exams for cancer screening. Those who have inherited the risks should not wait until the age of 40 to take these tests. Those in the risk category should undergo the additional tests from their thirties.
Another reason to get screened is the possibility of finding disease risks related to age, gender, smoking, and hormonal periods, especially to look at diabetes, coronary heart disease, seizures, and risk of cancer that comes from a family history.
2 . Instructions for preparing the health check!
- Make sure you haven't eaten anything for 8 hours before your arrangement
- Make sure you haven't drunk alcoholic drinks and red meat before your arrangement
- If you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, please contact your doctor.
- Do not take any medicine, including iron or vitamin C.
- Please do not consume nutrients such as red meat, licorice, beets, spinach, Swiss chard, radish and broccoli
- For women, it is advisable not to do a check-up during menstruation.
- It would be ideal if you bring your tests and exams with you (assuming there are)
