The Lycian way is a 509 km way-marked footpath around the coast of Lycia in southern Turkey, from Fethiye to Antalya.
Along the way, you can admire rare specimens of ancient cedar of Lebanon as well as old juniperus trees, cypress and hop hornbeam. A long beautiful descent past meadows and springs with chances to spot or hear bird species like Ruppell’s Warbler, Hoopoe, Middle Spotted Woodpecker and others.
Program:
We meet you at your hotel and we drive to cable car station near Kemer. We take the cable car up to Mt Olympos (Tahtali) 2365 meters.
We start for descent trekking to Beycik village. The path is about 15 km and takes about 5-6 hours. We will have 2-3 times breaks to take rest and as well as for the picnic lunch. We will arrive in Beycik village at about 5pm and have tea in a village cafeteria and then dive back to the hotel.
Weather conditions may cause the hiking route to be switched with another Lycian way.
