Description

The tour begins with a tasting of local specialties in the Ottoman village of Beymelek. Then, in order to continue your day, you will sail in an area of exceptional beauty, Kekova. The region, classified as a protected area, is famous for its underwater ruins, the remains of the ancient city of Simena, partially submerged following an earthquake in the 2nd century.

While you are on the island, take the opportunity to go for a swim, the water is crystal clear, turquoise in color and therefore very tempting, it will be difficult for you to resist. But if the weather conditions do not allow it, you will visit the fascinating Demre Museum. After lunch, you will drive to Demre, located on the site of the ancient city of Myra. In addition to the remains of Myra, the amphitheater and the rock tombs, you will visit the Church of Saint Nicholas, better known today as Santa Claus.

Where is really the homeland of Santa Claus? Finland? Norway? It seems that many countries claim to be the homeland of Santa Claus. And this is absolutely wrong! Because Santa Claus is a historical figure. And he served as a bishop in a church in MIRA, the ancient city of the 5th century. This church was later turned into a museum and is now both accepted and respected by Christians and Muslims. And in Saint Nicholas, he is considered the guardian angel of the Marines and the poor.

We offer you a tour where you can visit MIRA, the historic city of the 5th century. During our visit you can see the remains of the Lycan troop protecting the ancient city, the Greco-Roman theater on the rocks. This trip also includes a visit to the Church of Saint Nicholas. The MYRA necropolis, where many tombs intersect on the cliffs, will leave you with incredible speeds. Then we will travel from KEKOVA to DEMRE from the sea along the coastal strait. One of the major earthquakes submerged the city of KEKOVA. However, the city can be seen from the water from the boats. A few years ago, Captain Cousteau visited and admired the clarity of the waters and the incredible historical landscape hidden there
