Phaselis was founded by the Rhodians in 700 BC. Due to its location on an isthmus separating two ports, it has become the main port city of eastern Lycia and an important trading center between Greece, Asia, Egypt and Phenicia, although it does not part of the Lycian League.
After that, we'll visit Chimera, a monstrous fire-breathing hybrid creature native to Lycia in Asia Minor, made up of the parts of more than one animal.
He is usually depicted as a lion. He was one of the descendants of Typhon and Echidna and a brother of monsters like Cerberus and the Hydra of Lerna. Chimera is originally a meta gas well and a pagan temple was built on it, which was later converted into a church.
