Description

PROGRAM:

Our first stop after receiving all our guests:

We will move to Düden Waterfall. This waterfall, which is formed by the Düden river (one of the main rivers of Southern Anatolia), is located 12 km north east of Antalya. The clear waters of this waterfall pour into the river with a dazzling show.

DÜDEN UPPER WATERFALL

Düden waterfall is a very special place in Antalya, that not so many tourists have yet discovered at least not the upper waterfall, located about 12 km from the center. The park around the waterfall is shady and cooling, almost like a tropical oasis with cascading waterfall, loud birdsong and with a very special atmosphere tranquility, that you will not find elsewhere in the town. And it is rather unique oasis to have in the middle of a big city with traffic, noise, smog and many people.

After Düden, we will move to Kurşunlu Waterfall. Kurşunlu was registered as a Nature Park in 1986 and opened to visitors.

KURŞUNLU WATERFALL

Kurşunlu Waterfall is little smaller then the Duden Waterfall but much nicer in its natural surrounding this place offers nice walking possibilities along the river.

All the picnic areas and the walk ways along the Kurşunlu waterfall are kept very natural. All visitors loving to walk in the nature would prefer this place which is quiet peacefull and silent, offers a lovely atmosphere of trees turtles and birds. On the way to Kurşunlu there is nice smelling pine forest, and the parking is surrounded by huge trees offering shadow and cool air. The way to the waterfall on well kept the amazing view onto the river bed and natural walk ways and makes everyone forget the little longer way to the waterfall. Along the river you can find different picnic spots.

After watching the waterfall of Kurşunl falls from about 18 meters, we will move to Yeşil Karaman village and we will tour the village mosque, village school and Karataş cave here.

Then we will go to a restaurant and have our lunch.

After lunch, we will go to Karpuz Kaldıran waterfall.

DÜDEN LOWER WATERFALL ( Karpuz kaldıran Falls )

Actually Düden waterfall divides into two waterfalls-the upper and lower, about 10 km.apart from each other and connects by a large turbulent underground river..The lower waterfall, is located on the cliff edge. The waterfall flows into the Mediterranean sea with a huge drop of 30 meters.Obviously it is an impressive sight, but most beautiful in winter and spring, when there is extra water from the melting snow in the mountains.Of course you can stand at the cliff edge and see how the water in to the Mediterranean.

Watermelon Raising is one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Antalya, which spills from about 30 meters creating an enormous rainbow in the form of a water cloud.

At the end of this day full of natural wonders, we will return to our hotels.

****** KARATAŞ CAVE STORY LEGEND ******

ELIF AND KERIM

According to the legend, every night, under the hole at the entrance of the cave (DEVIL'S HOLE), devils gathered, those who do not worship would see these demons and describe the devil's equations to others. In fact, it was believed that the passer-by gathered under the hole in the pitch black and held weddings and entertainment, and disappeared in case of basmala. (Basmalah is the abbreviation of the word "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim".

It means "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.") Yörük daughter Elif and the young man of the village, "Asi" Kerim, fall in love with each other. At that time (around 1400 A.D.) "Yoruks" and "Rebels" were not allowed to marry each other.

While the families of the lovers learn about the relationship between Elif and Kerim and chase the lovers in order to lynch them, the lovers enter the cave with "Basmala", thinking that nobody can enter with the belief that there is a devil in the cave. Taking power from each other, they go to the fountain flowing by the lake in the cave and hide. At the edge of the lake, they treat their wounds with the mud in the cave (HEALING MUD).

They hugged each other tightly with fear. In the cave, since they cannot notice the night and the day, they only drink this water and hide for a long time (LOVE FOUNTAIN).

You also drink from this water, it is clean. When you drink, your love will strengthen or you will reach the love you could not live with. You will love everyone, and you will feel different when you leave here. The edge of the lake in the cave is the place where Elif and Kerim have been hiding for days in Kepenek (a thick shepherd's outfit) they brought with them.

One night, Elif comes out of her hiding place and goes to the tent of her family to find her mother. But; Since Elif's family migrated to the plateau, she cannot find the tent where it should be. Crying, he goes back to the cave and goes to Kerim. Meanwhile, Kerim's mother has pity on the lovers and starts to throw bread to the lovers from the well mouth (BEKİR WELL) where the large gallery is located. The lovers constantly pray by the lake for the reconciliation of their families and the whole village. Looking at the lake (BARIŞ LAKE) they pray that their peace will be as big as the lake.

DEVIL'S HOLE: It can be seen just above the entrance of the cave.

HEALED MUD: It is the mud that Elif and Kerim put on their wounds. It can be seen to the left and right from the first gallery.

LOVE FOUNTAIN: It is in the part of the cave by the lake.

BEKİR WELL: It can be seen above at the end of the first gallery.

BARIŞ LAKE: It is the lake in the cave.
